'I was taught jewellery by my father, Breon O'Casey.
In my teens, he encouraged me to make a few simple items in silver, which I loved doing. However, it wasn't until I was in my forties, and having apprenticed Breon for a few years, that I decided to design and make jewellery on a professional basis.
I juxtapose different coloured stones with silver or gold beads and pendants. Hammering gives texture to the silver and gold, giving it a more individual look. The blending of colour, texture and shape within each piece, be it a necklace or earrings, results in jewellery that is tactile and enduringly beautiful.'
