Georgia Stoneman Fine Art presents a vibrant exhibition of works by Oisin Byrne and other gallery favourites such as William Crozier, Terry Frost and Barbara Hepworth.
Oisin Byrne's Pink-Brown Cut Flowers is one of a series screenprints, each signed and numbered by the artist, handprinted on Somerset satin 410 gsm paper stock.
"These are oil based screenprints - the colours are physical pigment on the page. Each colour is hand-mixed until we reach a precise intensity: a reflective magenta, a saturated orange, a rich red oxide, a subtle gold, an ultramarine blue that is both deep and vibrant (ultramarine produces a pleasurable confusion for the eye: how can a dark colour be so bright?)."
The show will be available all summer by appointment at any time, or between 10-5pm on Friday and Saturdays at our Fore Street Gallery in Castle Cary from 1st August, as well as online.
